dr. Daniil Umanski

I was a PhD student at Leiden University. My research project started in Januari 2008 and was funded by the NWO Mozaiek grant aiming to develop and study a new tool in stuttering therapy for children. A computer game was build which trains speech motor skills by providing a real-time visual feedback on structured productions of syllable strings. Within the LIBC, we studied the effect of syllable manipulation on therapy results with children who stutter, as part of psycholinguistic studies on the role of syllables in speech production.
