I am a PhD student at Leiden University Center for Linguistics. I got my Msc. Degree in Clinical Linguistics jointly from Universities of Groningen, Joensuu and Potsdam (an Erasmus Mundus Masters program) in 2010. I also obtained M.A. Degree in Linguistics from Addis Ababa University in 2008. My research interest is the cognitive representation and processes of grammatical gender and number. I am also interested in the interaction between literacy and oral language processing. Currently, I am employing field-based behavioral experiments, specifically picture-word interference (PWI) tasks.

Project: Plural as value of Cushitic gender: a psycholinguistic study
